Dick, a graduate of Manhattan College has been
coming to Cape Cod since 1945, when his parents bought a home on
Skaket Beach. He spent every summer on the Cape until he entered the
Marine Corps in 1963 and served in Viet Nam until 1966.
Dick worked for Chase Manhattan Bank and Citibank in New York City
until he founded his own management consulting company in 1985. In
1998 Dick and his wife Claire moved back to Orleans, on Arey's Pond,
where he continued his management consulting business, earned his
Captain's license and started his charter fishing business, RECON
Fishing Charters. Dick is active in the Orleans Yacht Club where he
serves on the executive committee

Debbie and Rich Howard own and operate the
High Pointe Inn in West Barnstable, an elegant and intimate bed and
breakfast inn overlooking Cape Cod Bay. Prior to migrating to Cape
Cod, they owned and operated a very successful 11-room inn in North
Conway, NH for five years. Debbie, the former director of
education for a non-profit educational institute, spent her
formative years traveling and working on cruise ships before
abandoning her sea legs for dry land. She holds a Masters
degree in Education from Cambridge College and is listed in Who’s
Who of American Women in Business. Rich is a veteran of the travel
industry. He got his start as the director of operations for a
small regional airline in the Midwest. Later, he moved to Cape Cod
to take a management position with Commonwealth Travel in Falmouth,
MA. He ended his corporate career as an administrator for a
membership organization in Wellesley, MA before tackling the
responsibilities of inn keeping. Rich is an avid fly-fisherman,
enjoys cooking and gardening, and kayaks whenever time allows. Both
